Clinical Counseling Practice
Welcome to my clinical counseling practice. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) specializing in adolescents and young adults. I employ a holistic and empowering approach to therapy, rooted in strength-based, trauma-sensitive principles. I am dedicated to helping clients navigate the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood by integrating various therapeutic modalities.
Utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), I collaborate with clients to identify and reframe negative thought patterns, fostering healthier perspectives and coping mechanisms. This evidence-based approach helps individuals address symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, and navigate life transitions feeling supported and validated.
Recognizing the importance of self-expression, I incorporate art therapy into my practice. By encouraging creative expression, clients can explore and communicate emotions that may be difficult to articulate verbally. This method allows for a deeper understanding of one's inner world and promotes emotional healing.
Movement therapy is another integral component of my approach. Acknowledging the mind-body connection, I help clients explore the physical manifestations of emotions and stress. Through movement, individuals can gain insight into their emotional states, fostering self-awareness and promoting overall well-being.
Nature plays a significant role in the therapeutic process, offering a serene and grounding environment. I may incorporate outdoor activities, nature walks, or simply utilize natural metaphors to facilitate a connection between the client and their surroundings. This connection to nature can be a powerful tool in promoting relaxation, mindfulness, and a sense of interconnectedness.
In addition to symptom management, I will guide clients in developing crucial life skills. This includes setting healthy boundaries, enhancing communication skills, conflict resolution, and fostering a sense of self-compassion. By empowering individuals with these skills, I aim to enhance their ability to navigate relationships and life transitions successfully.
Ultimately, I strive to help clients establish a sense of peace within themselves, their relationships, and the broader community. Through a combination of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, creative expression, movement, and a connection to nature, I hope to create a supportive and transformative space for adolescents and young adults to navigate the complexities of their lives.

“Not every story has a happy ending, ... but the discoveries of science, the teachings of the heart, and the revelations of the soul all assure us that no human being is ever beyond redemption. The possibility of renewal exists so long as life exists. How to support that possibility in others and in ourselves is the ultimate question.”
